HAZON Drone Management System Adds New Safety and Compliance Features

HAZON Drone Management System

Cloud-Based Drone Fleet Management Software Updated

HAZON Solutions (“HAZON”), the national leader in drone inspection services, announced today the launch of the latest version of the HAZON Drone Management System (HAZON DMS). Only four weeks after the initial release, HAZON has added two new features, Lessons Learned and Incident Reporting, further promoting safety and FAA compliance for drone operations.

HAZON DMS is a secure, patent-pending, web-based management tool providing every drone operator, whether hobbyist with a single drone or a large enterprise with hundreds of drones and drone operators, a safe and efficient software tool to employ and manage their drone program.

"These new features represent our continuous commitment to risk mitigation, FAA compliance and operational efficiencies."

Sean Cushing, Founder and COO, HAZON Solutions

The newest update adds Lessons Learned and Incident Reporting functionality to the already robust features of the HAZON DMS software. The Lessons Learned feature allows all users to rapidly capture and share critical information and develop best practices quickly. Additionally, Incident Reporting allows drone operators the ability to easily record and catalog incidents ensuring compliance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 107 regulations governing commercial drone operations.

“These new features represent our continuous commitment to risk mitigation, FAA compliance and operational efficiencies,” said HAZON Solutions COO and Co-Founder, Sean Cushing. “DMS is a big part of our proactive safety culture. Adding Lessons Learned and Incident Reporting to simplify FAA compliance for everyone was a natural next step for DMS.”

The update also includes enhancements to qualifications tracking. Users can still develop unlimited, unique qualifications, but now can add expirations to those qualifications with automatic pop-up reminders.

“Actively managing Qualifications is fundamental to safety management,” said Ed Hine, HAZON’s Director of Drone Capability Development. “For decades, manned aviation has tracked periodic and recurrent training with fantastic risk mitigation results. Why should unmanned aviation be any different? It’s an aviation industry best practice and key to developing a safe and effective work force. We will continue to develop and deploy new features focusing on safety, compliance, and management efficiencies.”

HAZON DMS is offered at three levels. Remote Pilot is free to individual users. Drone Team is designed for small businesses on a fee-per-user basis. Enterprise Systems is designed for larger organizations with multiple users, unique requirements and dedicated support. HAZON DMS is currently being used by all levels of drone service providers, first responder organizations, universities and corporations around the country, and can be found at www.HAZONDMS.com
